Architecture and interior design gain prominence in the next edition of Cevisama , the international exhibition of the ceramic industry, bathroom equipment and natural stone, which will be held from January 28 to February 1 at Feria Valencia . The international fair has made a great effort to add value to the commercial offer with the configuration of a conference program at the highest level in which world-renowned figures will participate. Among them, the Swiss architect and Pritzker Prize Jacques Herzog or the Frenchman Dominique Perrault are some of the most prominent.
The lecture series, curated by Luis Fernández-Galiano under the theme of " Material Architecture 2 ", will address the materialization of the architecture project through six case studies: six recent buildings completed by contemporary teachers and explained by themselves.
The first of the sessions - on January 29 - opens with Enrique Sobejano , from the Nieto Sobejano studio, who will present the Arvo Pärt Center in Estonia, a work that pays homage to the great composer; continues with Carme Pinós , who will take care of the new Barcelona venue for the mythical Escola Massana , and closes with Jacques Herzog , who will describe in detail the successive projects that have transformed the Bankside Power Station in London into the current Tate Modern .
The second session -on January 30- brings Cevisama to one of the members of Harquitectes , Josep Ricart , who will explain the conversion into a civic center of the Planella Cristalerías building in Barcelona; Ángela García de Paredes , who will show the Public Library in Ceuta about an archaeological site, and Dominique Perrault , who will close the architecture seminar with her latest work, the colossal Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses in León.
